(Dis)Connect was the fourth edition of TEDxAUCollege during which speakers and performers embarked us with them in their daring journey to step back. Reflecting on the legacy of previous events, this night emphasized the potential of disengaging with actual issues to compose innovative solutions.

Turn the Tides was the third iteration of TEDxAUCollege! For that edition guests, were welcomed to join a night of inspiration as a selection of speakers shared inspiring ideas on topics ranging from housing, to fish, to hunger, to games, to much, much more that all turn the tides in the way we perceive and approach certain issues.

Changing the Game, our second event, expanded on the basis where the first begun. The theme of the event emphasized revolutionary ideas – ways in which we look at issues, turn them sideways, upwards, left and right – approach them in different manners, and find solutions in original ways.

Sketches of a New World was the first edition of TEDxAUCollege. The project set out not only to showcase ideas of an optimistic future, but also to establish the ground-works for future student-organized events within Amsterdam University College and Amsterdam Oost!

What is TEDx? In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxAUCollege, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxAUCollege event, TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
